We are overflowing with furniture, toys, books and clothing in our household.  While I cannot totally eliminate everything- I can strive for some organization.  Which is why I bought more plastic tubs than necessary at Target last night and will be going to Menards to install some sort of organizational system in Ethan’s closet this weekend  (or maybe next weekend).  If only I could get all of this accomplished today, while Ethan was with Granny.

But I will be taking Addison to the doctors.  She has not been able to hold anything down since yesterday morning, so when I discussed this with the doctor we were a bit worried.  Every meal has come up, her eyes are puffy and red… and the doctor wants to see her in case it was damage done when having her belly pumped at birth.

Let’s just hope that everything checks out today so that me and the kiddos can kick back, relax and ring in the New Year together.

Addison laughed for the first time last night, while Jessica tucked the blanket around her in her car seat.  She has a nice, deep belly laugh!

A few days late..

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas!

I should start off by telling you about Christmas Eve and how I got a vehicle stuck in our drive way, but we will totally skip that and move straight to our Christmas schedule!

Our Christmas at home was mediocre. Ethan, Addison and I came upstairs and waited for Jeff to wake up. He was taking too long, so Ethan dove into the presents. Luckily, Jeff was still able to watch some of the gift opening when he did join us upstairs. Plus, Jeff did get to bring Ethan’s new tool set out to him- as mommy forgot to put it under the tree!

After our Christmas we headed over to Jeff’s parents house for lunch and Christmas. The munchkins made out like bandits and I’d totally be lying to you all if I didn’t tell you that Jeff and I did as well. We walked away with a partial new wardrobes, some toys, books and a handful of gift cards. Ethan got his very first real cowboy outfit from my sister in-law’s family. I will have to take pictures of him wearing it… it’s the cutest! Addison got some toys that she can call her very own, too.

Our last Christmas on Christmas day was with my parents, my brother & his family and my aunt & uncle. There was a lot of food, presents and good times on Christmas night. My parents always put on a beautiful spread of finger foods- shrimp, crab, oyster dip/pretzels, spinach artichoke dip, finger sandwiches, etc. After eating we dove into the presents. Ethan got his very first lap top, a view finder, a Cars traveling set, clothes and more toys. Addison made away with a new wardrobe, some toys and a large package of diapers.  Jeff got a new gaming system and I received a Cricut Expressions machine- my parents also gave us new clothes, gift cards and I received a new winter coat.  We are all pretty much in Heaven from our gifts.

We wrapped our evening by coming home and going to bed.

On Friday I was due to see my doctor for implantation of my Paragard, but due to the ice rinks that formed over every street- we canceled and rescheduled.  We didn’t discover the ice over the main roads until we headed into town (our street is always horrible).  Instead of turning around and coming home, we just slid our way on down to Jeff’s grandparents house and spent the bulk of our afternoon with them while waiting for the salt trucks to cruise on in.

Yesterday was our Christmas with my father.  It usually is akward to sit around with him, but this time was a bit more relaxed.  We just bummed around the house, talked and the boys played video games.  They left about an hour ago, so I decided to finish up some work I was not able to get done before.

I should be getting the kids and their diaper bags around for Granny’s house, where we will have one last Christmas to end our holiday season.  After all is said and done today, we will come home to try and find homes for all of our kiddos Christmas gifts.

Will try to update with pictures later on this evening, but cannot guarentee anything.  We’ll be heading over to my parents house for supper to spend some time with my brother Jeremi and his girlfriend Casey.  They came up from Tennessee on Friday and we haven’t had much time with them yet.
