For Christmas this year, I am creating a scrapbook for my parents. I am already a big scrapbooking junkie, therefore I used items from my own heaping stash. I have created a page from their wedding, my wedding, their new home and a page for each grandchild. I will soon be adding a page from my mother’s 50th birthday party. I don’t have many photos to incorporate into this book, so it will be a start and a work in progress- something my mother and I can work on together.
For some of our family members, we made handmade Christmas ornaments. We purchased several small picture frames from Wal-Mart, attached a loop of ribbon with hot glue on the back, and placed photographs of the children in each frame. I considered making more of these ornaments for my parents, but with pictures of all the grandchildren.
Another simple, inexpensive Christmas gift is baked goods. I plan on making loaves of banana nut bread, cookies and other snacks. I have yet to decide on little wicker baskets or inexpensive holiday containers. Our local Wal-Mart carries both and they are both fairly inexpensive for the amount we need to put together.
What are some of your budget friendly Christmas gift ideas? I am always looking for new ideas!

As a busy mom, I do not always get to indulge in the luxury of fine culinary dining. In fact, the last time I ate something other than Applebee’s or Pizza Hut would have been four years ago- when the hubby and I first got married. Pepto Bismol understands a busy moms need for culinary excitement once in a while- so they decided to host a sweepstakes where the Grand Prize winner will win a getaway to the delicious city of their choice, complete with spending money and a restaurant guide that will direct them to all the tastiest hot spots.
