Slow and steady wins the race.

I could say that my Valentine’s Day was spectacular and that I was showered in gifts, but truth be told- we just are not that big on Valentine’s Day. Even as our relationship started we did not celebrate this holiday, nor do I think we ever will. I am more than okay with not celebrating the holiday and I think Jeff is too (or at least I am hoping). If we are going to enjoy a romantic evening together, I do not want it to be on a holiday that (almost) everyone is celebrating.. I want it to be more special.

So if we were not celebrating Valentine’s Day, then what were we doing? We were both working. I was trying to catch up on all of my reviews for Pajama Mommy, but also trying to spruce up the site a little bit. Amanda helped me play around with colors, but then we decided that the colors were just fine. Holly created a brand logo for the site, making it that much more fabulous than it was before. I tried organizing the categories and posts a bit more, removed some dead links from the site and updated my dailies section. There are so many more things I want to do, just have not had much time to do them.

Tomorrow I will be dedicating the bulk of my time to studying for a test, as well as meeting up with my partner for Nutrition class. We have a Daily Analysis paper to write before Spring Break (March 05th) and are hoping to have it completed by this coming week. I am also trying to get ahead in this class a little bit so that I begin feeling a bit less overwhelmed.

And hopefully within a few weeks, Jeff and I will begin the redo of Ethan’s bedroom. On Thursday we plan to go into town to purchase his new mattress, rails and possibly bedding. I say possibly because I am having a hard time deciding what colors I want to purchase for his bedding and for the new wall color. I know that we would like to go with something neutral, but how neutral? He has a balloon curtain in his room right now that I absolutely adore- it’s white with green, yellow and blue stripes. I would like the new colors to match the balloon curtain or at least coordinate well with it. I will try to take a picture of the curtain tomorrow for everyone to see. Hopefully someone will be able to help me come up with an idea for the little guys room!

Speaking of rooms and beds, I need to head to bed. Morning comes way too early these days and I would be lying if I said I caught up on all the lost sleep from Addison’s stay in the hospital. As I said before, I will try to update tomorrow with a picture of Ethan’s curtain and hopefully we can come up with something together. Plus, I want some help deciding on other projects as well.

The colors are just fine but maybe spice it up with fixing up the footer making it fantabulous

I agree, your colors are just great and your logo… my goodness that is one snazzy logo! HA! Glad you got some work done, I’ve been trying to write one blog post for 2 days and tomorrow will make it 3 days since I’m exhausted and will most likely go to bed soon (because I’m a grandma, since it’s only 6:30pm!)

  3. Really nice post. I’m getting a lot of great ideas on how to decorate my baby girl’s room from your web site. I’m leaning towards buying a pink and brown baby bedding crib set. My due date is January 23rd, so there’s still a little time for me to make up my mind. Hope it’s ok that I share this post on Mixx?
