I don’t know how many of you follow my 101 goals website, but if you have been, you will know that I was able to write the largest check I have ever written to pay off a nasty credit card debt I had looming over my noggin’ for quite some time. I’m not talking a thousand bucks here- I am talkin’ three thousand two hundred ninety five dollars and ninety eight cents (3,925.98). It feels so good to have removed such a large debt from my life, seriously.
After the responsible part of me had that debt taken care of, I was ready to shop. We spent our Friday morning/afternoon at IKEA, where I purchased the beautiful Expedit bookcase in the black/brown finish. We desperately needed storage and this was the perfect solution. I wanted to find a couple of area rugs too, but Jeff wasn’t having it. We walked out with a few other odds ‘n ends, but got the most important item needed (the bookcase). Am hoping to have it put together sometime this week!
Saturday we went out to dinner to celebrate the hubby’s acceptance into truck driving school. While most of you may not see this as a big deal, it really is for our household. We had dinner with Jeff’s sister and her husband at the Outback Steakhouse. Dinner was delicious. Ethan? Well, he climbed under the table, under the benches and found himself under the table of the people behind us. Consider the Outback removed from our list of restaurants with children list again.
Yesterday, was of course another day of shopping. Addison has decided to outgrow her pajamas and of course I had no pajamas in the next size up. Lots of clothes, but no pajamas. Can we say mother of the year? The Children’s Place, Carter’s, Osh’Kosh and The Gap were having some fabulous sales… so I was able to not only snag up pajamas, but the kids Easter outfits and a pair of rain boots for Ethan as well. Ethan is madly in love with his new rain boots- so in love with them that he insisted on wearing them to bed. His imagination is soaring to new heights with these bad boys. Last night at dinner he tried feeding his new Shark rain boots because HELLO- “they Sharks is hungry too!”
He are pictures of their Easter outfits (from the site):
