5 Months In..

Today marks Addison’s 5 month.  Has it really been five months, already?  She is from “growing like a weed,” as her pediatrician stated a week ago.  Slow and steady is the pace in which Addison prefers to grow, which is fine by me.  She has outgrown all of her 0-3 month clothing, but still isn’t quite big enough for all of her 3-6 month clothes.  It is so strange to me to have a baby that actually wears one size for longer than a month.  But the clothing issue isn’t what amazes me most…

It’s the fact that this little girl is so incredibly happy.  When giving her vaccinations, she will pout for about 2 seconds before she smiles.  Inserting a feeding tube? She’s still smiling.  Breathing treatments? She loves ‘em!  And her smiles are perfect… with her deep little dimples and all that gumminess! If you don’t believe me on how happy this little girl is at all times- take a look at this post. This picture was taken approximately 2 minutes AFTER the incident.

But aside from all of her happiness, I am quite impressed with her eagerness to grow up already. She loves to stand. She loves to roll around all over the floor and she loves her big brother. But right now, what she loves most of all is the fact that she is so close to crawling.  She is in that “rocking” phase just before crawling.

As excited as I am that Addison will soon be mobile, I have discovered the need for new shoes.  I have been looking at Dansko shoes, but just cannot narrow it down to one pair!

It seems crazy to think that when I started reading in July, you were pregnant with Addison — it seems like she’s always been here.

I’m glad you’re blessed with such a cheerful, beautiful baby. Happy 5 months, Addison!
