Saturday morning plans = fail.

100_3517 We woke up yesterday afternoon with the hopes of attending one of local towns “Heritage Days.” FAIL. Michigan weather does not know the meaning of cooperation, nor is it ever what it is supposed to be. Ethan was pumped about going to the parade, possibly having his face painted again (he has his face painted on Friday afternoon at another festival) and doing something fun.

Instead, we spent the afternoon at my in-laws. Not that spending time at their home is not fun, but it is very uncomfortable. While lounging in the living room, we were hit with monstrous storms- lightening struck all around us. We could hear it bounce off from their steel buildings aka “barns.” Is that not insane? Lightening bouncing off the barns? I am glad we did not let Ethan go outside, something he had been attempting to do for the twenty minutes prior to the storm.
