We’re home, for now at least.

Our weekend went as quickly as it came.

I have never been packed up so quickly in my life as I was Friday morning. House was clean, kids were fed and away we went. Setting up took us about 40 minutes and then we were off to the pond to do some swimming while waiting for the rest of group to arrive. Ethan and I spent a good amount of time splashing around in the water and playing on the playground, while Jeff and Addison ran into town to gather up a couple of items we had forgotten (oops).

Our weekend was much more enjoyable than originally anticipated. Addison and Ethan seemed to have a great time, Jeff and I barely argued and for once, I did not feel as though my sister in-law was trying to kill me with her looks. In fact, we had nice conversations about the kids, school, work, our weight issues (and her use of one of the “best diet pills” around) and anything else under the sun.

And now that we’re home, I am up to my elbows in laundry and scrubbing down dirty children. Will do my best to update later!
