Our babes are sick again. Is that not becoming the most repetitious sentence on my blog or what? Somewhere between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, both of my babes started getting the sniffles, sleeping like crap and running fevers.
Ethan’s seems to be improving already or maybe this is just the calm before the storm? His nose is still runny, but he slept a solid 8 hours last night and no fever in sight since yesterday early afternoon. Today he’s running around as though he had never been sick at all, so let’s hope this means he is getting better.

Addison on the other hand, is not getting so lucky. Though her fever has disappeared, she is having difficulty breathing through her nose, has runny stools and is sleeping horribly. She woke up every 15. hours last night crying. During her last bout of tears, I brought her into my bed to lay her on my chest in hopes of comforting her, but she had other plans. About two minutes into snuggling her, Ethan squeals “Mommy! What is that red stuff?” And then it hit me, literally. Blood was dripping down the back of my shoulder and on to my arm before I realized Addie had a bloody nose. How she got the bloody nose, we’re still not sure. I thought that maybe it was from dryness, but she still had snot oozing out her nostrils.
You know, the funny thing about all of this is that last year, around this time, I was shopping for insurance online. And not just for any ‘ol insurance, but for health insurance. Health insurance which has gotten spectacular use over the course of the last year, don’t you think? Our insurance company probably cringes at the sight of our children’s name by now.
