And the entire house is sick.
It seems as though every last person in my house is sick at the current moment. Addison with her parasite, Ethan with a double ear infection and me? Not quite sure- I have yet to make it to the doctors for myself. My throat feels swollen and tender, my body aches and I have had the chills. Am hoping to shake this illness thing before the weeks end, but we’ll see.
We have spent our days lazily, which is always nice. Ethan was feeling decent yesterday, after being on antibiotics for two days (out of ten) and so we ventured our way up town to the local Old Fashioned Christmas. After coming home from having the kids pictures taken with Santa Claus, we dropped. Literally. We all fell asleep and woke up four hours later. The nap was much appreciated and much needed, as just shy of coming home from Santa Claus is when I began feeling sick.
And although the kids gave me one heck of a nap yesterday, I still feel completely jet lagged this morning. Maybe it has something to do with not sleeping well last night and the hours upon hours of infomercials I watched. One of which being about “magic” weight loss pills. You know, the kind where you don’t have to change one thing about your lifestyle. No need to exercise, no need to watch your portions or even the kinds of foods you are eating. Go ahead ladies- keep eating greasy deep fried foods because hey! They say this magic little pill’s going to work wonders for you! I love infomercials, love ‘em. They usually have me in stitches by the end.
PS: I know this picture of Ethan has been used before, but it represents how AMAZING he has been to me in the past 24 hours. He gets me tissues, small glasses of water and cough drops– all without being asked.

Aw, at least your kids are being good to you while you’re sick! Otherwise you would be feeling a lot worse!
