It continues..
After Addison’s last test result came back positive, I became proactive. I started from the bottom and slowly worked my way to the top– having our water tested, testing the cat and the rest of the family (myself and Ethan). Mine and the cat’s results came back negative, but Ethan’s 2nd round of testing came back positive for the parasite. How in the world? Obviously we have a new problem on our hands. Ethan was totally an asymptomatic carrier, but there is still the lurking question of where the parasite came from.
By becoming proactive and educating ourselves, we have learned how easily contagious this parasite is, as well as how well it can be used as one of the best weight loss products (totally being sarcastic here), but no. While it is contagious, it is not overly contagious. There are natural remedies for this particular parasite, which you do not find on nearly enough websites and nasty side effects should this parasite go untreated for too long. Learning all of this, I will push for more education to be provided to parents about this issue..
