Ethan is truly a special child. Despite all of the separation from him I have had over the course of the last three months, he tells me that he’s okay– I just need to get his Sissy feeling better. As we anxiously awaited test results, Ethan started drawing pictures on his dry erase board to put smiles on my face. He would sing me songs at bedtime, just so that I could sleep easier. He has been giving his sister a hundred more kisses than usual, to make her feel better. When she is upset, he holds her hand and tells her we’ll figure things out as quickly as possible. As my father has said since Ethan started talking– he’s well beyond his years. Ethan is an old soul.
So when the phone we had been anxiously awaiting on (as a family) came in, I started dancing around the house like a mad woman, which told Ethan things were going to be alright. We finally have the bulk of her test results in, showing no signs of auto-immune disease. Praise the Lord!
Since that phone call, I have been able to breathe a little easier. My baby girl is not facing a life filled with medical supplies, what could be better than that? Ethan will not have to spend as much time away from us, as he has during our adventures to the pediatrician’s, laboratory and hospitals. Our little family will be together. We will rejoice in this news and continue trudging along to find the source of the problem together.
Now if only I could get a good nights rest without the aid of sleeping pills. Instead, I spend my evenings scrubbing the house within an inch of it’s life. We will find the source of the problem, we will tackle it head on and we will succeed!

About Me

That is wonderful news. It helps to have a wise little helper. I hope Jayden will grow up comforting his siblings. Ethan’s too sweet.

I hope you’re able to get a break soon. Marriage issues, Addison’s mystery illness… you must be so exhausted. *hug* I’m sorry!
I am SO happy Addison is not seriously ill, and that Ethan is such a special boy. So glad you caught a break for once, you’re a great mom!
