Life has been insanely busy these past few weeks.  Shortly as my classes were out, I attended another school for two weeks to obtain a certificate.  After graduating from that school, I began looking for a job and playing catch up before going in for surgery.

Last Tuesday, I had said surgery and all went well.  After a long discussion with my doctor two months ago, I made the decision to have a tubal ligation and some minor repairs to my uterus.  It was a hard decision, but definitely a wise one.

Recovery has been fairly decent, with minimal discomfort.  Or at least it was minimal until Friday afternoon, when my niece unintentionally head butt me.  I have no problem admitting that I cried a little, popped a couple of vicodin and curled up in bed for a couple of hours before begging Lucas to buy me new bandages (mine had fallen off during the nap).

Saturday and Sunday were filled with the excitement of accidents all around us.  Some more serious than others, but accidents none the less.  After running a few errands in town on Sunday, Lucas and I drove down the dirt road by Doug & Tiffany’s house where the first accident had occurred.  I could literally feel my stomach turning into knots as he explained just how the accident took place– I cannot imagine what must have been going through those poor teenagers minds as they flew through the air, flipped end over end, only to be ejected from their vehicles. I felt so many emotions while driving down that road.  None of the other accidents that weekend compared to this particular one– in those other accidents, people came out unscathed.  In this one?  People were flown out by helicopter.

Yesterday was a day of celebration in honor of Brittanie’s birthday.  Brittanie is my new, live-in babysitter, in case I forgot to mention that before.  She turned 18 on the 2nd and because she was busy on her actual birthday, we celebrated yesterday.  The entire family came to celebrate, shower her with gifts and chow down on some delicious foods.

And today?  Well, it’s been sort of blah.  I woke up earlier than anticipated, saw Brittanie off to school and took Addison with me to my doctors appointment.  My stitches were removed, I have a minor infection in my belly button and I am beyond grumpy today for no real reason.   So there you have it, a jumbled up mess of all the going on’s in my life up to this point.
