For All The Ways You Care
Monday, February 23rd, 2009 |Caregivers do not always get the recognition they deserve, so that is why CVS/Pharmacy set up the “For All The Ways You Care” contest . The mission? To celebrate and honor all of those caregivers across America. Entering the contest is easy. You just simply go to the website, type up your story and submit. You can choose to nominate yourself or someone you know that is deserving.
Stories can be published on the website for others to view or kept private for only the judges eyes. Inspiration stories can be submitted up to March 1st, when the panel of judges will narrow down the list down to ten finalists. The ten finalists will then be honored at a luncheon and luxury weekend in New York City in May! With nine of these finalists being awarded $10,000 for their commitment to caring. The grand prize winner will be awarded $25,000.
Last year’s grand prize winner was Judy McAtee. She has fostered 30 children, mother of 12 (including 10 adopted children), and a provider of counseling for 18 families going through the adoption process. And if this was not enough, Judy is also an advocate for children with special needs (as a result of caring for a child with special needs), but she also does home-schooling and tutoring for children other than her own.
