- I absolutely, positively adore my family. Despite our differences, they are such an amazing group of people. We had such an awesome time over New Year’s weekend & I was sad to see it end. There’s always another time.
- Miss Manda’s is boarding a plane to come see me for the weekend & I could not be more excited!
- My entire right leg is completely swollen- almost doubled in size and yet, I have no idea what I did to it. The doctor couldn’t give me any real diagnosis yesterday at my appointment, but is keeping a close eye on it. Here’s to hoping the swelling subsides soon and that I can bend my knee again and walk normally. So completely missing having full function.
- My dining room floor is almost done! Cannot tell you how ecstatic I am to get that one room in my house back in order.
- Gazelle makes me the happiest gal ever. We have such a dysfunctional friendship, but we work so well together. Here’s to hoping 2012 is a much better year for the two of us. ?
- Find a full-time, first shift job that offers benefits.
- Go out and have more family adventures- day trips, family vacations, etc.
- Finish working on the house– put the renovating to rest (FINALLY).
- Research the career path change I am wanting to make & re-enroll in college again.
- Learn to become more frugal and actually stick to these changes.
- Pay off some smaller debts & have the truck close to pay off in 2013 (if not completely paid off).
- Work on building up my savings, again. It’s fallen to the wayside thanks to home improvements.
- Start recycling/composting again– the move really got us off track towards the end of this year.
December 19th kicked off our holiday festivities. Ethan had his Christmas Program at school. Addie didn’t really want to sit still through it all, but enjoyed the dancers and the shower anyway. The program was so much different from when I was there.
Papaw came to the house on Christmas Eve to read Twas The Night Before Christmas, a tradition that my father started when my siblings and I were little kids. Ethan & Addison were on cloud nine when they saw their Papaw coming through the front door!
Santa came and the kids were ecstatic.
Ethan got his Thor helmet, something he has wanted since Papaw took him to see the movie. It has only come off his head a couple of times in the past few days.
Ethan and Addison both got new bikes for Christmas from their Grandpa John & Grandma Amy. Due to the weather we’ve been having lately, I let them ride the bikes around their playroom.
Just what Addieboo needed– more dress-up clothes & baby dolls. Seriously though.. this was the highlight of Addie’s Christmas. She loves all things girly– except hair.
Ethan was pretty stoked to discover that Papaw & Gamma finished his Ben 10 collection for him. He got all of the guys he was missing in one swoop.
We had such a busy, but awesome Christmas. Ethan and Addison made out like bandits, as they usually do and mommy didn’t do too bad either. Addison got enough baby dolls, dress-up clothes and clothing to set her for life. Ethan got a bunch of really cool toys and clothes that he’s not overly fond of (they are missing skulls). I got lots of goodies for my kitchen, which is what I needed. Now I just need my new kitchen to enjoy all of my goodies (two more months)!
